Getting there- The URL
Connect to your Union database using the url you were supplied.
The examples in this tutorial
are based on the Scools ILL URL : http://www.scools.org
How to Select your library.
Each user in the database is associated with their own particular
library, and must login to that specific library to use the functionality.
For example, to use the SCOOLS ILL you need to :
- Switch to your own named library, then
- Login.
1) Click the small blue Login link at the page's top right
2) Use the drop down lists (UNION, SYSTEM, DISTRICT, and
LIBRARY) to select
- your BOCES
- then school District
- then your library.
3) Login using the username and password that you were given
previously.
Warning :
If your login name or login location is incorrect
you will receive a message "Unknown
username:"
You will be unable to access your information!

When you are properly logged into the OPALS Union ILL System,
you will see the name of your library in three
places on the page.

You will also see
your login name and first name
in two separate areas on the page.

1) Drag and drop the link to make
an shortcut Icon on your desktop
2) Right click on the link and
save it as a bookmark in your browser.
